REVISED TECHNICAL SPECIFIACTION OF CONVERY/ELEVATOR BELTS
The specification of the conveyer / elevator belts to be used at different complexes/ships/units of Pakistan Steel shall be as follow:-
DESCRIPTION
All the parameters shall be described as under
Type of conveyor belt EP=160-1200-6-4.5-2-B/C-I/C-II.
EP - Polyester Cloth.
160 - Tensile strength (min.) Kg/cm ply.
1200 - Width of belt (mm)
6 - Number of piles
4.5 - Top cover rubber thickness (mm)
2 - Bottom cover rubber thickness (mm)
B - Working temperature (Atmospheric)
C-I - Working temperature (100 C) Max.
C-II - Working temperature (200 C) Max.
Elongation
Elongation of conveyor belt at 10% load of designated tensile strength should be 2% Maximum.
Adhesion
3.1 Separation load for 25mm width
For fabric and rubber = 10 Kg Minimum
Tolerances
4.1 Widths
4.1.1 For 300 to 500mm = +- 5mm
4.1.2 For 500mm = +-1% of specified width.
4.2 Cover Thickness
4.2.1 For thickness upto and including 4mm=-0.2mm.
4.2.1 For thickness over 4mm=-5% of specified thickness.
